Our children are an amazing contradiction and an incredible blessing! We have children who were blessed with an abundance of energy; empathic awareness; extreme focus; high intensity; a negative first reaction to new people and situations; a sensitivity to texture, taste, temperature, sound and light; an inablilty to regulate emotions; a need for a consistent routine and a unique "take" on life. Our children are also quantifiably gifted; focused, interested learners who challenge their teachers and everyone around them; curious and critical in everyday situations; do not accept the simple answer and are always demanding more.
