help to remove a posting

Hello- Earlier I posted on a forum. After I posted, I read it and saw that my IP address was listed on the posting. I tried to figureo out how to delete it, but couldn't. So, I deleted my account- thinking that it would delete posting as well. It didn't and now my posting is up with my IP address listed. I have the same sign in name on other forums and I really don't want certain people from accessing my IP address. COuld you please help me to get that posting deleted?
PS- There is nothing offensive at all in the posting. I just really don't want my IP address on there. Please help me.-- Thank you- Teddy
