To Whom it may concern my name is Bob Harrington and I am the tournament director for the Gene Harrington tournament. Gene was my father who was hit by a drunk driver back in 1993. He started the tournaments back in the seventies, and upon his unexpected death my mother ask me to continue the tournament to commemorate his 30 years of coaching and the 1000 of hours my dad devoted to amateur youth hockey.
The tournaments are run with the upmost integrity so when I came across this series of postings I was shocked by some of the comments which are mostly false statements. Some of the comments accuse me of running the tournaments as a money grab while others have postings with pictures suggesting that the rink is a rat hole. First of all, are fees are well below the average, and the rink just received 3 million dollars worth of renovation which included a brand new lobby, and lock rooms. I would ask that the postings be removed since they are not true, and are damaging to my reputation.
