Re: Forum 500426, The Frugalista Files. Anyone may read, must be registered user to post.

I have had two questions today about logging in. One stated that she has to log in "every few weeks" and didn't have to before. The other stated that she has to log in "every time." I don't know if she means every time she posts, or once a day.

I am the forum owner. I am occasionally asked to log in, although I haven't noticed any pattern.

I'm sure there is a box that needs to be checked (or unchecked) but I can't find anything that addresses this under Access Control (or anywhere else). I searched Net 54 for "log in" and came up zip, and I read the help pages. Can anyone explain this to me?

I use the "Stay logged in for a month" option and I almost never have to login. It seems as long as you visit any Network54 sites within the month, it keeps you logged in. At least it works that way for me. It it not something you can do for your visitors. They have to maintain thier own login.

One thing you can tell them is to make sure they:
1. Keep Network54 in their trusted zone, or keep cookies active or check their A/V, Adware and other security software and/or firewalls to be sure they are not blocking Network54.
2. Be sure their system clock is set correctly. Some people change the time on their computer for some reason, and that screws with Network54.

There may be other reasons they are getting kicked off, but those are the first to try.
