Does anyone have a good photograph of the firewall between the fighting compartment and the engine space for a Type 97 Chi Ha, Shinhoto Chi Ha or anything remotely similar? I've come up blank after a long search and the Chinhoto Chi Ha at Aberdeen has the hatches welded shut now. I'm kicking myself for not getting a shot of that when I was there back in '06 and it was wide open.
While we're on the subject of interiors, I'm trying to build a database of interior data for the Type 97 family of tanks. I've got a bunch of photos already, but any new ones would be like gold (especially the freaking firewall!!) I'd be happy to swap images with anyone.

Thanks Taki sama. I have these images from your website already and they are the best one's I've found so far. But unfortunately, they are tantalizingly incomplete. I plan to be at Aberdeen PG this weekend for the AMPS show and have arranged special access to their Chi Ha. Hopefully I will be able to post some more complete images in the near future.
And while I'm at it, thanks again for your excellent website. It's by far the best most complete place for anything relating to IJA armor.

Chi Ha

Patrick,
Love to see any of those pics from the Aberdeen Chi Ha. I attempted an interior many years back but never finished it and after picking up the Fine Molds Chi-Ha recently I want another crack at it. Did a TK last year with scratched interior. Of course, I found out some crucial info AFTER I finished it.
