Ha-go Main Gun

Hi Guys,

I am uncertain of what I am seeing in this pic.

Does the main gun on this Ha-Go look "standard" or does it appear to be a larger caliber than the normal 37mm?

could be a doctored photo for propaganda or to throw off enemy intel.

Looks to be retouched

Photos were often retouched for publishing. yes they could be doctored for security reasons, etc. But often they were "sharpened up" for reproduction in newspapers, etc. The whole front of the turret (in shadow) looks to have been filled in a bit.

It could be the artist had a photo like this with a canvas cover over the gun, and decided to take teh cover off and add a barrel for a more menacing look
