Hello gentlemen:

I have one blurry picture of a Type 94 Truck (TU10) that has a gun mounted on the truck bed with gun shield. I do not even know what type of gun it is as it cannot be seen clearly in the single photo I have. I would appreciate any photos or plan views of this obsure vehicle as I am in process of building one for a potential magazine article. Any help is appreciated adn sourced!

I don't know what photo you are seeing, but it would be a gun portee. IJA mounted a gun (usually mountain gun) on a truck and fired it on a truck. It was a local modification and there were some different examples. There are some photos of IJA gun portee in a newsletter below.

Excellent and thanks Taki! I have not seen these photos, great! I presume that these guns would have been bolted/mounted to the truck. I will read the Japanese text later but what model gun would they be? Would you have any photos of the truck bed to show the mounting, or any educated guesses?

But here's the photo I have which shows hardtop truck and gun plus trailer. Whichever one I get more references on, is the one that I will build. happy.gif - Thanks again.

They are Type 41 75mm Mountain Guns.

> Would you have any photos of the truck bed to show the mounting, or any educated guesses?

Probably, they were only placed on a platform. Sometimes, they were fixed by sandbags or wooden frames.

They are carrying searchlights. See the following page about searchlight vehicle.
