My Father continually talks about his best friend in World War II (Gene Christie from Ida Grove - KIA). Dad has always felt bad that he did not go to Ida Grove to talk to Gene's parents, but he was afraid he would open up wounds.
I've been trying to do some research on Christie's still living in Ida Grove, who may be related to Gene.
