Esau Russell ... father of Sylvan .. Alberta, Canada

I am looking for the history of Esau Russell who passed away on January, 1923. He has three sons; Bowden, Carman, and Sylvan ... my grandfather who left and went to Canada. To Sundre, Alberta to be exact. I gather Esau married a Josephine Mullen (Work). My father, Ross Phillip Russell was Sylvan's only son and is now deceased.
The end of the Russell name as I am female ... but go by an hypenated name. Looking for any relative that would know something or any history books that I could trace further. Apparently, Esau's father was Charles and his mother Eliza and Esau came to the United States at about 10 months old.
