IMO, 3/8" is too small for PFT, at least with at 12x scope... sure you could 'get lucky' and hit it sometimes, but that's just it, you'll need 'luck'.
I'd say that once you start pushing the envelope, for example:
1) KZ's smaller than 1/2"
2) scope mag higher than 12x
3) power above 12fpe
You're basically favoring "rifle-FT-like" rigs... and what's the point? (We already have a 'rifle-FT' game!).
