in my approach. I have a couple of variations of positions I shoot from. I also do it with my left arm supporting me - but almost always with the gun between my knees. I've found that one seating cushion gives me the support I need for my back - but it can be challenging since not all of our shooting positions are as level as they ought to be and we can't do any 'improvements' since we're shoogin on BLM land. I can also shoot supporting off my knee when I need a little extra height to clear obstacles - though the accuracy suffers a bit. I'm the only one who shoots a Creedmoor variation. Most of the guys are using rifle scopes so need a small amount of eye relief. I've tried several things with pistol scopes and currently have a 2-7x BSA Edge on my 2300 - with an offset mount, I can get it far enough back that I can shoot at 5x - at 7x the eye relief is just not long enough.
