The slightly longer story is:

back in 1970 I bought an air pistol at the post office. I was stationed with the U.S. Navy at the communications station in Edzell, Scotland - the post office had everything - that's also where we bought our used television. I still have that old Milbro pistol, BTW. Shot it from time to time over the years. My father in law was a competetive powder burner pistol shooter. Along the line, he purchased a Daisy 777 and an FWB 65 - mostly to help him train. A few times, we shot those, as well. Anyway, he passed on about 12 years ago - and in the meantime, I retired six years ago and we 'came home' to SE Idaho. His gun collection sat, unused, in my brother in law's basement for 10 years. I finally became interested and talked to the family. I was willing to invest in a gun safe to give the collection a suitable home. So I gained 'custody' of the lot - with the 777 and 65 included. I was looking for someone to shoot with when I came across the IAFTC web site and decided that was worth a look. So, I started shooting with them (after getting the aforementioned RWS 52) and about three or four months later, I inquired about pistol FT - which seemed to have been extant at some point - I found a few links; but it didn't seem anyone was really doing that. So, I was elected MD, Pistol and we started. Started off with those 10 meter guns and got a Crosman custom shop gun and a 1377 a bit later. It has certainly been a trip!
