I use the 6-24 regularly, and had a chance to use the 8-32 for a recent match..

and noted some difference, especially after 45 yards, but , in my limited experience, it really isn't a great advantage, given the KZ sizes at those distances. I think shooting skill is more important.

Simply put: Is it better? Yes, but since I use holdover, I like the mildots on my 6-24. I was clicking with the 8-32, so the reticle didn't matter and the difference in clicks/yard above 50 yards weren't that much to cause a miss, in most situations. JMO, others more versed in the 8-32 vs 6-24 may disagree.
