I've been down sick that last week with a URI. The last couple days I've been feeling a little better, and getting restless, so thought it might help if I could accomplish something airgun/FT related.
Not having a gun range in my area leaves me to driving 90 minutes one way to our club's MPR range. Even if tyhe schedule permitted, I wasn't quite up to 3 hours of driving for a day at the range so I thought of a way to work on my scope's yardage calibration at the local park.
I counter sunk some holes in a couple riser blocks and mounted them to a piece of walnut I've had sitting around. Then I mounted the scope to the risers and took it down to the local park. I propped the wood on my fill station and stretched out my tape for 75 yards and stuck some landscaping marker flags to range distances with.
I planned on the posibility of having to explain myself to someone, or even a local LEO but I figured, no gun.. no foul so it would be no big deal. Well it worked like a charm and if I ever do it again I may need bring some info cards or something with our club's website address on it. I ended up talking with a few folks whom were intrigued with my set-up and one of them sounded pretty interested in checking out our FT game for themselves.
Funny how things work out like that
I didn't have my camera with me at the park but here' how I mounted my scope.
