to go or not go. If I went, she said if you go expect to be with the family doing family things all day Sunday. So if I would have went, it would have created trouble that isn't really worth it. So what pray tell did I do yesterday? Welp it wasn't sit in the basement on a very nice day and watch Dora and Diego as well as Space Buddies. They took a nap, and I shot field targets and took in a load of scrap. So the moral of the story is you have to pick your battles.
On Sunday the start of my hustle is on. I need to transfer 17 chairs at work to the basement and make them fit in limited space. I am going to be scrapping metal the out from these dialysis treatment chairs to get to the Nationals. Theres eventually gonna be 27 chairs each weighing in greater than 120 lbs a piece. And I cut a girl at work in that gets no child support and has to come up with Xmas for 3 kids. So ya know she is gonna get better than our agreed upon 50/50 of the take as this is the right thing to do. I have to be there to do it by myself or with some assistance from her tomorrow.
Remember I am putting the wife thru Nursing School right now. So $$$ is a premium. And the money from the pay check right now is for my son, my wife, and bills. And letting the debt grow any more than it has already is simply foolish.
I scrapped metal for money to get to the Nationals and back with Buddy. I lived on the semi primitive side and came back with some ft targets and some stock work from Paul Bishop to boot. Hell for that matter selling a few things and scrapping has got that shooting jacket...
And there is truth to following the scrappers code. Hogs get slaughtered and piggies get fat. That means don't be greedy and don't take it all. But it alot just seems to come my way. I sold 480 lbs on Monday and then yesterday I sold 420 lbs.
And for those too squimish to dumster dive...welp...just so ya know that is much easier than cleaning and separating metal. It also seems more lucrative when you look at time and effort. For the most part I leave that for the guys/gals that need it more than me.
And as of late I have entertained the idea of scrapping for a USFT if they haven't gone up too high in price. A midsized to nice short one like LD has would be kindah cool.
