I don't see where "scopes/reticle styles" are an issue in hft with a 12x limit, especially since there are enough good scope versions available to satisfy every whim, and some of them are even relatively inexpensive! Will "big scopes made into little uns" (32x turned down to 12x fer example) give a BIG advantage to a hft shooter, I tend to think not......so I say "no foul" if a mildotted "Hubble" is settin' on a springer!
This is an entertaining and educational discussion, but I'm not convinced (at this time) that scopes are a real issue in hft, especially after looking through a relatively inexpensive 8-32 Leapers turned down to 12x a couple matches ago. IMHO, the biggest hft issue WAS "puffers grouped with sproingers". Since that issue has been addressed simply take your favorite hft rig (allowed by law) and have some fun!
