Leo, the Vortek kit installed in my TX in ?2011 started out right at 11.75 fpe, around 820 w/JSB Express 7.9 - she's settled down, a year after install, to around 812 or so with the same pellet.
I went very light with the lubes, just a little JM clear tar on the comp tube, and just a very light touch of moly on the sides of the piston seal. I used most of the supplied Vortek lube on the spring and guides. The Vortek piston seal seems to break in faster than oem or JM and everything should start to feel settled in by a tin or so. That's been my experience and I've been real happy so far with the shot cycle and consistency.
BTW, Congrats on your win at the Cajuns! Hope to see you in June at the GOB Match.
