Response to We're trying something along VERY similar lines, Mr. Poole;

If I had a sparkling crystal clear FIXED power 12X with nice mildot or multi-line reticle, one inch tube, one pound max weight, and great PA adjust to take out parallax from 10 to 70yds I'd be thrilled if I could get it for under $400.

I know most folk feel the NEED of a high power and large zoom for FT, but I managed to bumble along with only a "fair" clarity 4-12X scope using holdover at the Temecula Challenge last weekend, and shot the highest individual day's score over some with over four times the mag. Brad Stevenson borrowed a gun with fixed 10X and shot a higher individual day's score than most of the high mag guys as well.

Yes, a good scope is pretty important, and especially so with some guns, but I sure wish I could get as good a LOW powered one as I can a good high powered one.
