Come shoot Air Pistol and Air Rifle Silhouette with us on the first Sunday of the month at the USI Multi Purpose Range in Concord, CA at 13:00.
We shoot Air Pistol and Air Rifle Silhouette on the first Sunday of the month at our USI Multi Purpose Range in Concord, CA. Expert marksmen will find NRA Air Rifle Silhouette a challenge; shooting at our long range 1/10th scale silhouettes of a chicken, pig, turkey and ram with air rifles offhand at 20, 30, 36 and 45 yards respectively.
Most shooters, even novices will typically knock down enough targets to feel like a youngster in a shooting gallery shooting Air Pistol Silhouette and our DR&G Short-Range Air Rifle Silhouette 1/10th scale short range targets of a chicken, pig, turkey and ram at 10, 12.5, 15 and 18 yards respectively.
We shoot 3 classes of NRA Air Rifle Silhouette; Open, Target, and Sporter, 2 classes of NRA Air Pistol Silhouette; Standing and Open Sight Standing, 3 classes of IHMSA Air Pistol Silhouette; Standing, Unlimited Standing, and Unlimited Standing Iron Sight and 4 of our own DR&G Airgun games; Short-Range Air Rifle (SAR), Long-Range Air Pistol (LAP), Varmint Air Pistol (VAP) and Varmint Air Rifle (VAR) silhouette.
Diablo Rod & Gun Club Long-Range Air Pistol Silhouette (LAP):
Long-Range Air Pistol targets are 1/10th scale metallic silhouettes of a chicken, pig, turkey and ram placed at 20, 30, 36 and 45 yards, respectively. A match consists of 40, 60, 80 or 120 rounds fired from the unsupported STANDING or OFFHAND position. Shooters compete with shooters of like ability using our DR&G shooter classification system. If 3 or more shooters shoot in any class we split the groups into separate categories. Use of scopes or iron sights, including diopter sights is allowed. (20 fpe power limit.)
Diablo Rod & Gun Club Varmint Air Rifle (VAR) & Varmint Air Pistol (VAP) Silhouette:
Varmint Air Rifle and Varmint Air Pistol targets are 1/10th scale metallic silhouettes of a chicken, pig, turkey and ram placed at 20, 30, 36 and 45 yards, respectively. Target Air Rifles, Sporter Air Rifles, Open Air Rifles and Pistols shoot Varmint Silhouette off the benches or from any safe, supported freestyle shooting position including prone and the field target sitting (pretzel) or Hunter positions (buckets and sticks). Shooters compete with shooters of like ability using our DR&G shooter classification system. If 3 or more shooters shoot in any class we split the groups into separate categories. Use of scopes or iron sights, including diopter sights is allowed. (20 fpe power limit.)
Diablo Rod & Gun Club Short-Range Air Rifle Silhouette (SAR):
Target Air Rifles (Precharged, Piston, CO2, or SSP) and Sporter Air Rifles (Piston or CO2) are used to shoot 1/10th scale metallic silhouettes of a chicken, pig, turkey and ram placed at 10, 12.5, 15, and 18 yards, respectively. Targets are shot from the STANDING or OFFHAND position. Shooters compete with shooters of like ability using our DR&G shooter classification system. If 3 or more shooters shoot in any class we split the groups into separate categories. Use of scopes or iron sights, including diopter sights is allowed. (9 fpe power limit.)
(No airguns over 20 fpe on long-range targets and no airguns over 12 fpe on short range targets.)
Cost for the match is $7.00, Please bring exact change. Juniors shoot/eat free.
We usually have a POTLUCK BBQ with grilled hotdogs, mild link sausages, and/or Boomers famous grilled hamburgers with all the fixings at the conclusion of the match after the range is torn down and cleaned up; feel free to bring something to share with everyone.
