Just a quick point of clarification:
In the spirit of promoting attendance to regional matches, the Grand Prix rules do
not penalize the shooter when a class gets consolidated due to lack of participants; so long as the shooter complies with the rules of the consolidated class, and also with the rules of the Grand Prix class in question.
Here are a few of examples:
--------------------------
#1) A WFTF-Piston shooter gets consolidated into Open-Piston: In this case the shooter must comply with WFTF-Piston rules and Open-Piston rules, which would translate to shooting at sub-12 fpe, and not using straps (while in the Open class).
#2) A WFTF-Piston shooter gets consolidated into Hunter-Piston: In this case the shooter must comply with WFTF-Piston rules and Hunter-Piston rules, which would translate to shooting at sub-12 fpe, setting the scope at no more than a 12x factory marking, no clicking, and not using a bucket or stick/bipod (while in the Hunter class).
#3) A WFTF-Piston shooter gets consolidated along with WFTF-PCP into an overall WFTF class: In this case the shooter simply follows WFTF-Piston rules (which are the same as for the overall WFTF class).
