I took the plunge into "springer land" and bought a Lazaglide tuned HW97K for FT. I have mounted a Sightron III 10-50x60 LRMD secured with BKL double strap mounts. It is shooting CPLs at 860fps at the muzzle. I was quickly humbled by how difficult (compared to a PCP) it was to consistently shoot this gun accurately past forty yards. On paper I was printing 2" groups at 50yds and was beginning to wonder if it was worth it to pursue this venture.
Being as competitive as I am, I took on the challenge. I got the gun on Thursday July 19th and I have been at the range every morning at 7:00am- 8:00am before going to work by 9:00am. To get the gun warmed up I shoot approximately ten to fifteen shots at targets placed at ten and 25 yards. On each outing I saw my groups shrinking until yesterday morning....a full eight days later, I managed the tightest group. I was feeling good about this and decided that today I would shoot at the real thing.
I set a vulture with 1 1/2" kill zone at 50yds and went for it. I dropped it ten times without missing once

. I know that I have a lot of work ahead but I am sure that I am going to enjoy the ride. I kinda like the idea that I am not having to keep track of my air supply. Hopefully my Custom Stock CS1000 will be here soon....I am impatiently waiting patiently.
