Response to Anyone got a lead on a Rifle case that the airlines (United)..............
It's been thru many airports with no problems. EXCEPT that "one time" Southwest Airlines BROKE my SKB rifle case. Contents by SKB are insured.
Holy cow, I get to the baggage area and there is my case with a broken corner. Contents were fine and my scope is ALWAYS packed with my clothing seperate suitcase.
Anyhow, Skb sent me a new case, cost me $75.00 to ship it to them. And later Southwedt air sent me a check to a new case. I same out ahead fortunately.
Any case you get, make sure the airport folks can open it without asking you for a key. Very user/owner friendly.
By the way, many airport gun inspectors are avid shooters and ask alot of questions about our sport. I've had at least 5 neat-o conservatons with air gun inspectors. Has this ever happend to any of you guys during air travel?
