First, when I left at 4:30pm it was 103 degrees, thank goodness almost all of the shooting positions were in the shade. Second, there was a moment in the middle of the BR match when I was looking at 5 wind flags and all 5 of them were blowing in different directions! Nice!
My thanks go out to Wayne, Mark and Bob, for creating an air gunners paradise. I enjoy not only the venue but the company as well. It would be hard to find 3 more dedicated air gun enthusiasts that work harder than they do at creating a facility that anyone who is willing to make the drive can enjoy. I can't wait for the new courses to be built as the terrain will make for some very challenging and different shots.
I love the bell targets, the lack of maintenance and ease of set up makes them ideal for local matches where labor resource usually means the match director. Wayne is working with a number of different designs and clearly some of the bell options are superior to others. Im hoping that in the near future he will post his recommendations of what he found works the best.
Also in the benchrest match Wayne was shooting a new USFT that LD built for him, I think we may be in trouble; LD may want to take that one back!
Thanks again for a great day in air gun Disneyland!
