"possiblity". The game was originally one where we were free to shoot about any darned way we pleased, with respect to position. Of course that "freedom" was mitigated by the ability of the rangemaster's skills in setting lances so as to challenge the shooters by strongly influencing the way one might view and attack the targets

Frankly, there was NEVER any documented "problem", where a certain position ended up unfairly dominating the matches, and for some reason that particular position was so distasteful the mainstream folks wanted to get rid of it rather than use it themselves. The only position in this category is the sitting position, but most FT shooters seem to like it, and thus confine their bitches to less entrenched positions they can wield influence over.

There is NO evidence that the Creedmore positions have been given more than passing interest, though they have been used legally on and off for decades. It looks kooky, but doesn't seem worth the effort in the rifle game.

I say we should only outlaw what we KNOW is bad, such as unsafe equipment or practices, or guns so powerful they damage the targets, or stuff that makes us as a whole look so silly to the rest of the shooting community (like 80 power scopes and handguns with 24" barrels) they wouldn't be caught in public trying the game out.
