I shot AA 7.87 and H N 8.5 sniper med side by side. At 50 yds the POI was the same. Sniper had a better group. I had my target on a sled so decided to check POI at 40, 25,20, 15, 10. Both pellets same exact horizontal POI and maybe a pellet width lower for H N at some distances. I was shooting from FT position off of my knee. It was windless. I was zero at 30 yds. This tells me that in my gun (WALTH LGU) the pellets are nearly interchangeable. I do know that shooting them in wind shows that they buck the wind quite a bit better. BTW all pellets were out of the tin. No weighing or sorting of any kind.
My gun is at 12 fpe. In the past when I have chrony the HN they were somewhat slower so they must have better retained energy than the 7.87AA.
