Response to Re: Bob, I agree with your first statement.
"I bought my current scope two years ago, fully anticipating what I believe to be the inevitable switch to 16x. Time will tell if I anticipated correctly."
Self fulfilling prophecy? You seem pretty good at getting your agenda in place. Getting AAFTA to seriously consider rules changes that would enhance your standing, even at the expense of causing some of your competition to leave Hunter. And here you are once again proposing a rule change that you already setup yourself to benefit from. Sorry Bob. Buying a 16x in anticipation of a rule change and then lobbying for it - seems at least a little self-serving on your part.
When I say "us". I don't mean ME, I mean us, as in Hunter shooters in general. To think otherwise would be self-serving. I could certainly buy some 16x scopes in the future, and I would if the rules changed. I don't think it's good to force others to do that to stay competitive.
"My bet is you already have several Leapers/UTG/CenterPoint scopes with 16x markings. I have several myself. I can send you one if you're strapped..."
I am strapped (short of money). So please send me a UTG 4-16x44 SWAT scope. When/if you can get that rule change implemented, I'll put that gift scope on one of my FT air guns. To be fair, you should make that offer to all Hunter shooters.
