THE AAFTA OUTLAWS June 3 Match Report
The weather was just warm and a bit muggy. This was a 60 shot match with 6 shots per lane.
Everyone had a great time and the scores would have been better if not for the wind. It would come
and go and swap directions. This made for a very challenging course, indeed. At one point Harold was
trying to wait out the wind, only to find that it kept getting worse, so he ended up shooting anyway,
and by the time he was done with that lane the wind finally slacked off...... and he was not the only
one who had that problem.
The Match winners were Rod Bradley and Harold Rushton. They both shot an amazing 49 in that crazy wind.
However since they were in different classes there was no shoot off. However the real surprise is that
Cliff Smith came roaring back taking open class with a 5 point margin. Cliff has only recently switched from WFTW to open class, and yet he managed to shoot only one point off the match winners. Greating shooting Cliff!
