My intent with the signs was organizationally motivated. Last year it was hard to find the targets sometimes because painting them with more realistic quarry colors meant they blended in with the terrain. Color coordinating the lane markers with the scorecards and numbering the targets on the same color cardstock made it unmistakable for the shooters. Ie... where their Lanes are, where the targets are located on the field, and what order to shoot them.
I won't minimize the effort and expense. It did require additional cost for the materials plus an entire afternoon of printing and laminating. But, I do feel it provided a better organization for a grand prix caliber match and a better experience for the shooters.
I like Scott's templates and will likely make a couple sets very similar for future use.
