Response to Solution does not require adjustable rings.
The rail was not straight on the chassis due to the back being flexed. I tried everything including rotating the scope in the rings. If the tube is not inline with the bore but crossways across the centerline of the bore, you believe it can be corrected by rotation and windage?
I found windage would only align the scope but still at an angle to to bore. My problem was a mechanical problem. Am I wrong here? I have been doing gunsmith work on customer powder burners for 30 years and never found a way to correct this type issue with physical bore alignment, without shims or adjustable rings. Hey I am happy to learn though if there is another way....
