Response to First Year Shooter with an Opinion
If Joe Average shows up to a match to see what the sport is all about - we've won more than 1/2 the battle.
Let's not lose new participants by telling them they have to shell out big money to play...
Here's what I've noticed:
New shooters almost ALWAYS bring a break barrel.
And almost always have a Leapers/Crosman or Bushnell Banner 16x scope.
Because normal people buy air guns at Bass Pro or Walmart --- and that's what they sell.
If you want to attract actual hunters to the sport, make a class where the equipment all "looks the same" as Joe Average's.
Also, do like Plekguns and post "how to tune your breakbarrel" and optically center and mount your scope for best accuracy.
