I'm wondering if there is currently any activity in pistol FT. Only recently I became interested in FT - joining the IAFTC and getting 'introduced'. I also have a couple of 10 meter match pistols I enjoy shooting (FWB 65 and Daisy 777). I realize I'd want to upgrade to do pistol FT, but thought I'd inquire as to whether it is still alive - particularly in U.S.

A set of rules is being drafted and are being put forward to AAFTA. There's also a new Pistol Field Target forum over on Delphi.

Thanks for the info. I had seen the previous post and all the info seemed to be dated around 2004. I'll keep an eye out for further data. BTW - I'm in Idaho, but a couple of the other locals might be interested.

I'd love to see 'Pistol FT' take off... It has been a lot of fun the few times I;ve tried it - To me it's a natural extention of the game we're playing (same targets, same course... just shorter distances), and doesn't require a HUGE investment (I've got about $500 tied up on my LD setup).

Bob and the guys in Texas are working hard to get air pistol field target on everyones mind again. We shoot it in Baton Rouge a few times a year and it is a lot of fun.

Thanks for coming yesterday to our F/T match in Idaho.... So stand bye... Next month bring your pistol & rifle and I will set up a couple of lanes and have a match before our regular rifle F/T match...

Had a good time - just figuring out a routine to work on so I can become a bit more proficient. I'll bring both guns next month - I have a Daisy 777 and FWB 65 - they are both 10 meter match pistos, and shoot around 2.4 foot pounds.
