In all the time I've been shooting air rifles, I've never sat down and shot groups. I normally shoot horizontal and vertical lines for set up and then play with the targets, Today, I decided to compare JSB Heavies with CPH's. I've used CPH's up until this year. Harold or John got a large shipment of JSB's in and I tried a sleeve of them. Been shooting them all summer. I have done reasonably well with them.
Anyway, I finished up today with my newest scope set up (Never ends) and tried both in ten shot groups. At 30 yds, the JSB's could have been covered with a dime and the CPH's would have taken a nickel+. There were no flyers though with either one. I want to try them at other distances and will when I have time.
These groups were shot through my USFT carbine #217 with the Nikko scope and from the bench. So, I was able eliminate some potenial problems, such as mother nature and all the other problems I bring to the table. There was no wind this afternoon to fool with me. I believe I will stay with the JSB's .
Anybody around here looking to purchase some more soon?
Have a good evening,
Pat
