Hi, everybody. The Maryland State Field Target Championship at DIFTA is this Sunday, June 11, at the WAC-IWLA near Damascus, MD.<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Registration and final target setup will begin at 9:00 AM. The sight-in range will open after the targets are ready for the match, which will begin at 10:00 AM. We’ll shoot rain or shine, barring lightning. Registration is $15 for non-DIFTA members, $10 for members, and $0 for first-timers.

This weekend, we will shoot a 72-shot match across 12 lanes, with a couple of forced positions, averaging around 28-30T. Afterwards, we’ll light the grill, so bring some grillables or some cash for the food fund.

See Joe's map or the chapter website for directions, and feel free to email me if you have any questions.

The next matches after this are on July 29 and August 13. See the chapter calendar for the full schedule.

See you Sunday!

Everything ready for the match - Raise your hand if you want a sausage

June 9 2017, 5:03 PM

The targets are already in position and everything else is ready for the match. It also looks like we will get some wind to spice up the match.

There are a some easy targets and a few less easy ones. The average course difficulty is 29.8T and the toughest target is 44T compensating for a trivial 17T. We will be shooting a 72-shot match, three targets per lane and two shots/target. Two of the lanes will be forced position.

As usual, after the match we will light up the grill. I therefore appreciate if you could let me know if you're interested in a sausage or two.

Last warning: Sunday will be the first hot day of the season: be prepared for that and drink plenty of water and electrolyte drinks!

See you Sunday!

Paolo & Jan
