Define major

July 28 2017, 11:59 PM

Most folks fly out of San Jose, SFO or Oakland to the north and LAX to the south.

You can get flights into San Luis Obispo or Santa Maria and rent a car. Just depends how much you want to spend and how much time you have.

Closest major/regional airport is SBP.

July 31 2017, 10:32 PM

Flights to/from SBP typically layover in Phoenix for long flights.

For direct flights to/from the eastern USA, see LAX and SFO, both a 4 hour drive to the range.

Also see OAK & SJC, approx 3 and 4 hours drive.

Heads up on what to expect as far as difficulty.

August 10 2017, 7:34 PM

Use day one to revive your springer mojo. Day one will be about 20T with no reducers. That is a little easier than the 21T from day one at last years Piston Championships, but there are just as many far targets.

Like last year, day two gets tougher. Day two will be about 25T with 12 reduced targets. Fewer than last year and not as small. Last year was a 29T.

I suspect you are about to unleash some pent up springer forces

August 10 2017, 7:44 PM

I think we are going to see some very good scores shot and a bunch of piston shooters enjoying one of the most fun matches they have ever participated in.

If you are a closet piston shooter and don't shoot this match you will regret it for many years to come happy.gif

Thank you Scott
