CR 9 comes along with a new version of Crystal Enterprise ,namely,8.5 which has in-built Scheduling options.

Advanced Crystal Enterprise allows :    Flexible scheduling service for larger reports

  • Minimize hits on your database by scheduling a report and letting users view the pre-generated instance.
  • Deliver larger reports with acceptable end-user response time.
  • Automatically output reports in specific formats.
  • Schedule reports to specific destinations (e.g. email, FTP).

I would suggest that you take a look at the example provided by Crystal Decisions by following the link :Crystal Enterprise Java™ Report Application Server sample code

Various other Report Scheduling tools are also available : To know more ,please visit : Crystal Reports Scheduling / Distribution
