Hello Pooja,
I have installed Crystal Enterprise Report Application Server without the Crystal Report Design itself.
When I tried to view/run the report samples(in the default Dir) through IIS/PWS, It doesn't work. The page always asked me whether I want to run from its current location or save to local disk, I think it's supposed to ask me to download the viewer, right ?
I have checked the RAS Configuration Mgr and the directory is right, can u help me with this problem ? what files should I check so I can run the samples first. Thanks in advanced, I really appriciate for any kind response.

Please verify that the Report related Services assosciated to the report are running 'coz generally this error occurs,when the Report Services (though installed) are not running.

Hello Pooja,
Continuing my problem yesterday, when I checked the service, the Report App Server service is already running. I have read your installation guide and it's written that RAS is an add-in components, so should I installed Crystal Report Professional first? What version ?
I also want to ask you some stuffs :
1.what features should I install to make it run from the web ?
2.what is WCS and App Report SDK for ? do I have to installed it too even with or without Crystal Report(not the report app server)?

I do not see a reason off installing Crystal Report Professional on the same machine as the server.It can be present on a different machine.RAS is a part of Crystal Enterprise and constitutes the base set of CE services to enable processing,viewing and runtime modifications of CR files.

To know more about Crystal Report Application server,go through the foll. article : Crystal Report Application Server. This article also explains what App Server SDK is?Also,go through Crystal Enterprise Configuration Options which explains about Web Component Server. You might also want to refer to the documentation available along with Crystal Reports CD.
