Was TC the only show back in the 70s-80s that openly mentioned Gays?

I noticed nn Threes Company they did not make fun of gayness except for Mr. Roper that is. It was not disliked by all means, it was just funny Jack pretending to be gay. Now we have "Will and Grace" which is a successful show. When the "Ellen" became openly gay in the show it got cancelled. Well that's a different story. What I'm trying to ask is was Three's Company the only show back in the 70s-80s that someone had to be 'gay' in the show?
