In response to the Chrissy question you are correct. In the first season Chrissy wasn't too dumb. Also if you noticed the relationships were different. Jack was all over Chrissy in the first season making Janet jealous. He actually showed little interest in Janet. But then the producers made a change. That whole 'Jack chasing Chrissy' storyline was dropped which allowed Chrissy to develop her 'dumb blonde' image.
