um on the first janet and chrissy find jack asleep in their bathtub from the party the night before and he's studying to be a chef and staying @ the ymca or something. and so the girls tell mr roper hes gay to let jack live with them. in the last episode janet gets married to that phillip guy and jack meets vicky the airline stewardess and he moves in with her i think. and i think terri moves to hawaii to continue her career as a nurse or sumthin (why hawaii out of all places??)

Larry's Last Name

by

Hey,

I had dinner with Richie Kline when he was starring in Bye Jeeves at the Kennedy Center (he had gone to Queens college with my boss at the time) and told him what a huge fan of the show I was. He tested me by asking me this question (which of course I knew). When I told him the episode he was shocked. He's a very cool guy.

almost uncut

Has anyone noticed that Nick at Nite has been included the tags of Three's Company that have not been seen on American TV since the original telecast. There are also extra parts in the body of the show that have likewise been edited out previously of American reruns. there are still some cuts but not very significant ones.

i would also love for NICK to air the never aired pilots like TV Land did with All in the family

I noticed that also...for example, during the marathon, they showed the last episode when they all left the apartment. They showed a part where Terri reveals that she's going to Hawaii, instead of us wondering where she's going when Mr. Furley says, "Don't eat too many pineapples" in the previously aired episodes.

They also compromise by cutting out certain lines, by cutting to a commercial and such...

Nick at Nite

by

I've been cutting and pasting together the episodes aired in traditional syndication for the past 18 years, and the format they are now aired on NIck at Nite. They cut out other scenes from each episode. For example, in "Jack's Uncle", they cut out the entire first scene between Janet and Chrissy, discussing which side of the mouth Chrissy chews on. Also, in "Stanley Casanova", they cut out the first scene between the girls regarding the book about sexy dreams.

Cutting episodes

by MM

What they are doing on nick at nite is they are cutting scenes out but at the end of the show they include the tag that aired in the original episodes. This tag was always edited out of the reruns that they aired in sundication. I think its better because the stuff they cut out is usually not as good as the tags at the end.

The Talented Mr. Roper

by

The key to my love for the show was Mr. Roper's sly look into the camera after nailing a punchline, usually at Mrs. Roper's expense.

I thought I was the only one who appreciated the "Mr. Roperism" when I was watching the show in its day, then I grew up and noticed that every twenty-something peer of mine described their appreciation for the same bit.

I wish someone out there could put one of those clips on the web...

I was under the impression that Suzanne S. did NOT actually appear in ANY episodes in the '80-'81 season, but according to the Episode Guide it seems she did, at least until #85, when Cindy moves in. So -- DID she appear in any episodes during the 80-81 season? When did the one minute phone calls at the end, taped separately, start and stop? Thanks..Mark H.

My thoughts on soaps

by eugene

I felt so . You can take the comic away from the series, but the content can hold an ctor to an identity. I have to admit that Suzanne(is that spelled right?) Sommers has had new a new series for years, this is better than one might hope in the case of others. What I like about the show is the casual something which led the characters to simple plots about people. My mom used to laugh. I could understand at age 7 what the cast was up to. If other spinoff weren't as successful, I can understand. Honestly. It would be canny to see the show today "three's Comany 2000".(Did they have a television set?).

Threes a crowd and the Ropers

by

Susan,

Besides the show Threes a Crowd, there was also the sitcom the Ropers. The reruns were both aired the early 90's on channel 32WFLD now known as FOX. Each one was aired for a couple of weeks at a time, then the next one take its turn.
