Nobody can beat a giant gold robot. Especially not a guy with a bob haircut, ugg boots and a leotard. And that is a scientific fact.

Oh, but you underestimate barbarian tenacity! I mean, sure Thundarr was once frightened by an escalator, but he's not alone in his struggle against industrial oppression! He also has the Mexican wrestler equivalent of Chewbacca, and that wizard chick in a tiara(wasn't she a wizard or a psychic or something?), plus wasn't his sword made of lightening? And Goldar shoots lightening bolts with his "My Favorite Martian" disco ball antennas (antennae?), so they're more evenly matched than you might think.

hey, hey, hey - leave the monkeys out of this.

Robots win - period - especially against so-called barbarians who can't even figure out pants (although it's possible that the robot would be momentarily dazzled by Thundarr's cleavage).

Hey, I'm all for monkeys, either way. King Kong would definitely change the dynamic, but I don't want to stray. And man-pecs are not cleavage! While hauntingly chiseled and strangely arousing, they are still a sign of strength and machismo. But the fight against machine is not won with muscle, it's won with guile. Sure Goldar is a giant, sure Goldar is a super-powered robot, sure Goldar shoots electro-rays and can turn into a space ship, has a family of robots that defend the world from evil and live in a coolio volcano fortress with a thousand year old wizard... DAMN, GOLDAR'S COOL... wait, what was I saying?

And what's so great about wearing pants, anyway?

I have agree with Cate, no one can beat a giant robot. I believe Voltron (in all it's incarnations) remains undefeated to this day. That's a record of like 270-0. Hard to argue with that. And barbarians, despite their tenacity, lack the technology required to do any real damage. I'm sorry, it had to be said.

Here we go again - Cavemen vs. Astronauts. Why does it always come down to that?

Fine, who would win in a fight - The Space Giants or the Shogunn Warriors? Or, in deference to your precious Voltron, let's just say a giant robot free for all! Goldar, Mazinga, Voltron, those femmes from Robotech, and my main man, Mecha King Kong.

And Voltron doesn't count as a robot, does he? His individual parts were human-piloted! That makes him a vehicle, doesn't it? Same for Robotech.

Transformers could get in on this action, though, just so Goldar could spank their plagiarist asses for stealing his moves!

What was the name of the transformer that could eat planets? Omnicron? Why do I know that?! My geek inhibiting collar must be on the fritz! I need to have that looked at...

He could eat PLANETS? Okay, I'm pretty sure Thundarr couldn't handle that. Was that the one that Orson Welles did the voice for on the movie?

Oh, Orson, what happened? Ever since he got hit with that African curse it was all downhill from there. One minute you're casting Charlton Heston as a Mexican, the next you're the voice of Omnicron the Planet Eating Robot...

He did balloon up to planet-sized proportions near the end, didn't he?
