All right, I've mentioned this before, and it will most likely become the subject of a future column, so this is basically research. We've settled Freddy vs. Jason, we've seen Alien vs. Predator, but now the ultimate:

Who would win - Chucky vs. Leprechaun?

Hmmm... tough one. My instincts tell me Leprechaun would win. He is, after all, a supernatural creature with centuries of experience and an inconsistent array of powers. Chucky is just a wise ass trapped in a doll's body. Chucky is indestructable though, and not hampered by that addiction to shillings. He also has a wife, and the ability to hide in children's rooms unsuspected. But then again, Leprechaun has been in space, just like Jason and the predator, and that's impressive in it's own right. A tough call... the odds are on Leprechaun's side but I like Chucky more, so I'm rooting for him.

Yeah, the odds-makers favor Leprechaun, which makes Chucky the underdog. Maybe this fight would prompt Chucky to do something he's been inexplicably reluctant to do since the very first film: Blow the dust off his books and break out the old Black Magic. Let's remember that calling on the dark arts is what got him trapped in a doll's body in the first place. That can't be the only trick in the book, you know. Stay in school, kids. No one likes a one-note hack.
