Halter, a graduate of the ' Ecole Horlogère de Paris'in the early 80s, started his career as a restorer of vintage clocks and watches but soon changed paths to develop movements for major Swiss houses such as Audemars Piguet, Breguet or Frank Muller.

He founded his own company in 1993 - Janvier S.A. in St. Croix Switzerland - named in homage to Antide Janvier, one of the master watchmakers of the reign of Louis XVI.

Dedicated to haut de gamme watch masterpieces, Vianney Halter combines traditional watchmaking with avant-garde designs his creations are as much sculptures as they are time pieces.

Father of the perpetual calendar Antiqua and the phenomenal Opus III, Vianney Halter will soon be unveiling his latest work: the new Trio.
