Response to In an era where every one is producing ultra complicated watches, you have

Dear Mr. Halter,

it is sometimes noted the world might not need even more tourbillons and some voices seem to foresee the same development in terms of repeating/chiming timepieces. Facing creations like the Vacheron Constantinīs mind-boggling "Tour d’Isle", it is hard to imagine even more complicated timepieces. On the other hand, watches like the Breguet "Tradition" seem to meet a desire for less complicated, nonetheless interesting and new ways.
In this context, it would be most enlightening to hear the opinion of a true maker and master:

Did Haute Horlogerie reach a point where the road may split, towards more refined and less complicated, but thoroughly crafted, timepieces on one end and even more complicated timepieces on the other end of the spectrum?

Warm regards,
greetings from germany,

Peter
