No, I do not miss driving to work when it's -15, shivering my butt off. Actually, I don't drive to work anymore, I take the bus, but I still have to stand out in the cold waiting for the bus. I'm assuming that since your home town was close to the border and you had FEET of snow - I'm thinking Montana? I live in Minnesota and I do not remember snow like that in my life time.
