For everyone bored enough to want the wedding/honeymoon story :)

Okay, from Thursday afternoon to last night.

Thursday afternoon: I caught the train in to town to meet fiance there since we had to go out to Doomben/Hamilton or one of those to get the van he'd hired. We got the train and from there had to walk a fair distance (not too far, but far enough) to get to Budget Rentals. Grr at them, because when we got there, they wouldn't rent to us!! Even though fiance had organised it all by phone, when we got there they said they couldn't because he was under 25 and had a provisional licence. Well pfft on them, because if that's their damn policy they should say so on the PHONE.
So then we walked up Nudgee Road and went to a couple of other car rental places we found on the way -- none of whom could help us. He rang a couple of other people but they wouldn't help either, so I was startig to get a little bit panicky -- we needed the car to get our cake boxes and other important things. Finally, just when he was starting to get quite worried too, we found a place further up Nudgee Road that would help us. They gave us a lovely car (a brilliantly blue Magna) but they couldn't help with the van. That meant that fiance and best man had to rush in to town at 6am to load the van (that best man owned) up with all the stuff and move it to the rotunda where we had the wedding. Eeesh. Plus, while we were doing the shopping stuff on Thursday night.. you'd never believe it.. but my monthly visitor decided to poke it's head out and say HI. UGH. It would figure. Got my nails done professionally while we were out too. I went to bed at probably 10-11pm, I don't think he got there until probably after midnight.

Friday morning I was up since six when we couldn't find best man's tie (eepers jeepers -- but we did find it fairly quickly) and it didn't take much to get me ready. By 2 minutes to 8 I called my mum, a little worried, sine they were supposed to be picking me up at about 10 to eight to go get my hair done, but they were stuck in traffic. We were only a tinytiny bit late for the appointment and the hairdresser lady, hwo was very nice, didn't mind at all. She did my hair beautifully and quickly and mum and I had plenty of time to get ready.

The limo came a little early but we hung around for awhile, then we went driving! Ooh and they had chocolates in there beam Well anyway, finally it was time and we got to the rotunda and as we drove up every man an' his dog were there with a camera to take pics of me getting out and flashing the world! Eeeeeeep! That's when I got really nervous and shaky and stuff, and there were like, thousands of photos. And you'll be pleased to know that I didn't flash anyone. Well.. if I did noone told me, anyways ROFL. Eventually they let me out and I walked up the aisle thinking "well I hope mum doesn't faint because I think I need her to catch me". But I didn't and she didn't and I stood rather nervously facing my honey and feeling glad my bridesmaid was right behind me in case I swayed a little too far. I know I was shaking like a leaf - all I could think was "oh my god. oh my god. oh my god. uttoh, going to fall over. I wonder if they can see how much I'm shaking?"

The ceremony was beautiful and he memorised and read a poem that made the celebrant cry. I didn't think they ever did, 'cause you know, they'd be so used to it all and everything.. but she ssure did cry. I think nearly everyone did. ((And yes, I shed a tear or two [in PUBLIC?!] it probably would have been more if I wasn't so nervous, though, lol)).

After the ceremony we signed the marriage certificate (will be scanned at a later date) and posed for a million more photographs (will be scanned ASAP). After the photos we packed up and headed off to his grandma's since she'd been unable to make it to the ceremony. We showed her what we wore and posed for one or two pictures with her before heading off to the pet store ((we had to buy some fishies for a bowl on the reception table)). After that it was a bit of a mad rush to get back to the Polo Club to set the tables and stuff. Luckily when we got there at ten to four, the tables were mostly already set!! His boss and workmates were worried and set it for us We finished up and posed for yet MORE photos and people started arriving.

The reception was lovely, he did the cutest little speech ((if I remember he went around thanking everyone.. mostly not terribly funny but then he gets to my little brother and he's like "well, sorry you couldn't make it to the ceremony -- there was more food there" hehe. and his sister he thanked for the first compliment he ever received "well, you look kind of okay in purple" hehehhe)) and everything went great. No fishes died while there (always a bonus, lolol) and bridesmaid and I named two -- lipstick boy & Russell.

After the reception we headed off to the Brisbane Marriott for our first night and the room was lovely. They gave us chocolates on the pillow (he asked for them for me) and also there was a cream rose on my pillow -- because he remembered and he drove to the Marriott to drop it off for me!!!!!!! Now that was sweet. We had a huge breakfast the next day - I even had a danish!! Yummy yum. Then we drove up to Mooloolaba and stayed at the Outrigger -- where we stayed last year on our anniversary. We did a few touristy things -- Forest Glen, Underwater World, Big Pineapple. It was great fun and now we're home and married beams
