I know it is hard to believe that it was not your fault, but the truth is that a child is never to blame for being abused. We often feel like we are to blame for a number of reasons. For one, they often tell us in some way or another that it is our fault. Also, we tend to blieve that no one would do that to us if there wasn't something we were doing to cause it, or something wrong with us. But even if we are doing something wrong or if there is something wrong with us, the person who abuses us has a choice...to abuse or not to abuse. When they choose to abuse us, that is 100% their choice, and that is what makes it their fault, and not ours. I hope that makes sense. Feel free to write anytime you want.
