Welcome to this wonderful place that Terrie provides us with. I understand what you mean about not being able to shut down since you started therapy, it was very much like that for me initially but it did seem to level out after a while. I still go through periods where all I can see, think and feel is my past abuse but I am learning to be able to put it aside and focus more in the here and now.
