I too have been told by others to just put it in the past where it belongs. Like you pointed out that is so much easier said than done. I haven't managed to do it and would love to know how. But I can work on it. I can work on me. I do things for myself now. I try to make sure I do something everyday even if I don't want to for me. That really seems to be helping. I also started therapy which was a big step. I don't know if you are in therapy but if not I highly recomend it. Just make sure that the therapist you choose is someone who will listen to you and let you get your story out. Who doesn't tell you that you don't have a right to feel the feelings. Because you do!
