by Maggie (no login)I have a very hard time saying no to my kids. Actually, I have a hard time saying no to anybody, especially my kids. I think everybody (my three kids and their dad) was shocked when I said no to this idea. Pampering the car seems absurd to me, although my son pointed out that the sun will make the paint fade and the fabric top decay. So after a few days I began to wonder if I should just go along with the plan.
In some ways, you're right, my daughter is pretty spoiled. But we have had a very hard time for years, and I think her dad is trying to make up for problems he caused by buying the kids presents. If I had a choice between the two, I'd rather he had paid child support during all those years when we were in poverty, rather than come along now and be Santa Claus.
