Acts 3:
19. Repent ye therefore, AND BE CONVERTED, THAT YOUR SINS MAY BE BLOTTED OUT, WHEN THE TIMES OF REFRESHING SHALL COME FROM THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD.
20. and he shall send Jesus Christ which before was preached unto you:
I believe with all things there is a beginning. The the beginning of being converted is when we are baptized into Jesus Christ, which as most of you know, beleiving this is speaking of water baptism, and baptized in His Spirit by Him after we have truly repented according to what it means to repent. Which is much more than simply going down to the alter, saying a prayer which consists of asking Jesus to bome into our heart and life, and walla we are born again. I don't believe this is true anymore.
But I do believe once we have begun in this conversion process, our abiding in Him, and His abiding in us, we are indeed in the position of being able to begin to walk in His kingdom He brought for us to walk in here on this earth at that time, as a result of being born again. Therefore, we are a bonifide child of God's then too.
But if you notice, Matthew does tell us the children of the kingdom can be cast out in Mt. 8:12, and a few other places that indicate this is so because of our blatant disobedience.
luv ya,
Sandy
